Welcome to

The Good Old Days

by Mary Antoinette Moloney.

This is the third in a series of recollections by the Limerick Author and Historian.

The Good Old Days is dedicated to the late Fr. James Minogue who encouraged Mary to write her two previous books, The Small Ford - The Story of Ahane and Down Memory Lane.

This book contains the official biography of the late Clare native, Fr. James Minogue, who was PP/AP Castleconnell (1988 - 2018). Sr. Phyllis Donellan of Milford Care Centre is also featured prominently in the book.

Other memories include The Farmers March of 1966. Topics from a rural perspective include "Saving the Hay" and Memories of Annacotty Creamery.

Prominent buildings of Limerick City's past including The Franciscan Church, Todds, Roches Stores and other popular businesses as well as the Savoy Theatre are also included.

Childhood days are recalled in Poems we learned in School and The Childhood Games We Played. This is but a taster of what is included in the 120 page book which is on sale in Bookstores throughout Limerick, Clare and Galway.
